Mila Kunis is set to join a modern Disney prequel to Frank L. Baum's The Wizard of Oz.
Mila Kunis, star of the Oscar-Winning Black Swan, is now attached to the upcoming Disney project 'Oz, the Great and Powerful.' Reported in an exclusive by Variety, the prequel, which will also star James Franco, will be directed by 'Spiderman' and 'Evil Dead' director Sam Raimi. Kunis will star as Theodora, who 'starts out as a good witch, alongside her beautiful sister Glinda, but after her advances are jilted by Franco's salesman, is convinced to switch sides.' The project is also to be overseen by producer Joe Roth, who worked with Tim Burton in his Disney retelling of 'Alice in Wonderland.'
Kunis has recently attracted media speculation over her reported involvement with 'Friends with Benefits' co-star Justin Timberlake. Having starred in the film as good friends who strike up a 'no-strings' arrangement, they presented an award together at this year's Oscars ceremony.
Now magazine has reported that Kunis is eager to distance herself following his split from actress Jessica Biel. Kunis is also single, following her split from Macaulay Culkin in January this year.
