Welsh Musician Mike Peters Has Revealed His Cancer Has Returned For A Third Time.
The Alarm lead singer first beat the disease in 1995, and again a decade later, and he found out it had returned this summer (15), but he is hoping to treat it with a new drug, which is on trial.
The 56 year old says, "I felt bullet-proof. I thought I'd cracked this cancer thing after having it twice... I was not expecting my consultant to say, 'Your (white blood cell) count has doubled and we're going to have to change tack'... When anyone says that it's put in the nicest possible way but everything says danger.
"Then you immediately think about your children and you think about your music - you think about the life you've built and is that going to change?... Then you get to grips with it and all your survival instincts kick in."

Rocker Mike Peters is celebrating winning a battle with leukaemia with the news he's to be a father again.
The Alarm star, 46, was diagnosed with the disease last December (05) and underwent a gruelling series of treatments before he was given the all-clear by doctors.
And now his wife JULES has revealed she is expecting their second baby - a sibling for two-year-old DYLAN.
Peters says, "I couldn't possibly have dreamed up a happier ending.
"My haematologist told me I had the worst blood diagnosis he had ever seen. Now he says I have the best blood result ever achieved in a cancer patient.
"We will live life to the full."
Welsh rocker Mike Peters is set to stun fans at the South By Southwest music festival in Austin, Texas this weekend (17-19MAR06) by leaving his sickbed to perform live. The Alarm founder, who is fighting cancer, will promote his new album UNDER ATTACK at the festival. In a posting on his website, he tells fans he has been responding well to chemotherapy treatment. He explains, "I have been feeling stronger every day. I have been singing at every opportunity to strengthen my voice and build my fitness up and today I feel absolutely great."
The 68 GUNS hitmaker, 46, is due to undergo chemotherapy in the New Year (06).
On his website, the star writes: "I want to reassure all of you that I will be fighting this fight with every ounce of energy I can muster. I have my wife JULES, and son DYLAN beside me and they are reason enough to live for. They have both been incredible."
As part of the singer's annual ALARMSTOCK celebrations, Peters and the reformed group will perform for fans at Abbey Road Studios in London, where the group recorded DECLARATION and at Electric Lady Studios in New York, where they recorded STRENGTH in 1985.
The two shows will take place a week apart in August (05).09/06/2005 13:32
Eighties rockers The Alarm were forced to put their differences behind them for a reunion documentary, despite fears the get together would become a televised fist fight.
The quartet haven't spoken since singer Mike Peters announced he was quitting the group during a London show in 1991.
The 68 GUNS singer upset his bandmates by quitting after learning guitarist DAVE SHARP was planning to go solo and ignored a band meeting to "resolve differences".
