Hollywood actor Mike Myers will receive $19 million (GBP10 million) for his voice to be used in future Shrek video games.

The 41-year-old star, who was initially paid a nominal fee for any Shrek spin-offs, has demanded a portion of profits from the computer-generated games, which will come out in 2007 and 2010 to tie in with the release of the third and fourth movies in the series.

A DREAMWORKS spokesperson says, "Parents are paying five times as much for video games as they are for a cinema ticket so he is striking a tough deal."
