Mickey Rourke is set to reunite with his 'Immortals' co-star Kellan Lutz in forthcoming thriller 'Java Heat'.
Mickey Rourke has signed up to appear in 'Java Heat'.
The 'Wrestler' actor will reunite with his 'Immortals' co-star, 'Twilight Saga' hunk Kellan Lutz, after both joined the cast of the independent thriller, which is to be directed by Conor Allyn.
In the movie, Kellan's character puts aside his anti-Islamic believes to team up with a Muslim cop to destroy a group of Jewel thief terrorists in South East Asia.
Mickey has agreed to play the jewel thief who dreams up the schemes for the terror group.
Shooting has already begun on the project, which has been co-written by Conor and his father Robert.
Kellan has previously spoken of his admiration for Mickey, when he expressed his disappointment in having to turn down a role in 'The Expendables' because it clashed with his commitments to the 'Twilight Saga'.
He has said: "I love action movies, I want to work with Sylvester Stallone one day. I was supposed to work on his movie 'The Expendables'.
"I auditioned for it and I got the role, but the scheduling didn't work out with 'New Moon'. And I was just like, 'What a bummer.' It has seven of my favourite action stars. Jason Statham, Jet Li, Mickey Rourke, Randy Couture... it's such an all-star cast. If the name 'Kellan' would have been up there with them, I would have died happy."
