Michelle Williams is set to rekindle her romance with director Spike Jonze, 18 months after they split.
The 'Meek's Cutoff' actress split from the film director 18 months ago, leaving her broken hearted, but he is now keen to give the relationship another go.
A source told The Mail on Sunday newspaper: "Spike realises he made a huge mistake leaving Michelle and he desperately wants her back. They are making a tentative go of their relationship again but Michelle is nervous. Spike broke her heart the first time around.
"He's promised that he's a changed man who is ready for commitment, but Michelle has told him to prove himself before she can trust him again."
Michelle has a five-year-old daughter, Matilda, by late actor Heath Ledger and she recently said she will put her little girl before anything else.
She explained: "Raising my daughter is my absolute priority and everything I do is to make Matilda's world as happy and secure as possible. Even when I'm working I still think about her and can't wait to get back to her at the end of the day.
"I hope one day she will see my movies and be proud of me."
