The former 'Coronation Street' actress has filmed 'Our Girl' and 'Tina & Bobby' at the same time over the last few months.
Michelle Keegan has had a pretty incredible 2016, but her success and high profile has come at a bit of a price, with the actress revealing she “needs a break” after having become “run down” by her hectic schedule.
The 29 year old star has become exhausted by her busy filming schedule over the past half a year, in which she’s filmed ‘Our Girl’ drama series for the BBC in South Africa for several months before flying straight back to England to shoot ITV’s TV movie ‘Tina & Bobby’.
Now, the Manchester-born actress says she’s looking forward to a break, writing to her fans in her regular blog for OK! magazine this week.

Keegan claimed football wasn't "a big deal" in the 1960s, when England won the World Cup.
Actress Michelle Keegan was roundly mocked online this morning after making a serious mistake about the English football team when she appeared on ‘BBC Breakfast’.
Keegan was a guest on the sofa on Monday morning (September 5th) to discuss and promote her current BBC series ‘Our Girl’, but the interviewer Louise Minchin also touched upon her upcoming role in a drama about the late England World Cup-winning captain Bobby Moore and his relationship with his wife Tina.
“I suppose in some ways they were the first so-called celebrity couple weren't they?” Minchin asked, to which Keegan dropped a bit of a clanger by claiming that football wasn’t a big deal in the 1960s.

The former ‘Corrie’ actress insists she and Mark are happy, despite having to spend time apart.
Michelle Keegan has spoken out after months of rumours regarding the state of her marriage to ‘TOWIE’ star Mark Wright. Rumours that the couple’s marriage was on the rocks started when Michelle spent two months in South Africa filming BBC drama ‘Our Girl’ and was frequently pictured out at night without her wedding ring.
Michelle Keegan has hit out at rumours about her marriage
Speaking to The Mirror Keegan said: “I find it frustrating people are constantly speculating about my marriage. I think we should celebrate the fact that, alright, yeah, I did get married, but I can work as well.
The former ‘Coronation Street’ actress is said to have attracted Hollywood buzz thanks to her role in BBC drama ‘Our Girl 2’.
Michelle Keegan could be set to make the move to Hollywood after coming on to the radar of movie bosses in South Africa where she’s been filming new BBC Drama ‘Our Girl 2’. Keegan rose to fame after playing Tina McIntyre in ‘Coronation Street’ but the 29-year-old left the soap in 2014 to pursue other roles.
Does Michelle Keegan have a future in Hollywood?

Keegan quit her seven-year role on 'Coronation Street' in May 2014, and has seen her income rocket subsequently.
She took a tremendous gamble with her career when she left her long-term role on ‘Coronation Street’ two years ago, but it all seems to have worked out for Michelle Keegan, who is now apparently earning 16 times more than she did on the ITV soap.
The 29 year old actress quit her role as barmaid Tina McIntyre in May 2014, having held down the part since late 2007. Such a move is often a risk, but a new report in The Sun has apparently disclosed what Keegan has earned since then, and it’s made her one of the most successful former soap stars in Britain, with an income just shy of £1 million over the last 12 months.

Michelle Keegan has revealed that she would love a role on 'Game of Thrones,' but which character could the soap actress play?
So, Michelle Keegan has just casually put it out there that she would love a role in Game of Thrones. The 27-year-old actress, who has just finished a 6 year stint on UK soap opera Coronation Street, told the Daily Star newspaper: “I’m a huge Game of Thrones fan. I’d obviously love a role in that. I would consider getting naked and having sex scenes if the role was right.”

Keegan, who has won “Sexiest Female” at The British Soap Awards for six years running, seems to know exactly what the world wants to hear when it comes to landing a role! The entire male population of the UK (and the world probably, once they get a look at her) will now be vying for Keegan to land a role in the HBO series, just so she gets her kit off and has a few sex scenes. We wouldn’t be surprised if the show’s writers create a whole new role just for her and just for that purpose!

Keegan is best known for playing Tina McIntyre on the British soap from 2008 until this year. Jemima Khan is the latest celeb to take her #nomakeupselfie for Cancer Research UK, but what is it and who else has been getting involved?
For about a week now Facebook and Twitter have both been overrun with selfies of girls wearing no makeup. At first we were all a little confused, but things got increasingly clearer when we realised that the photos were part of what became a viral campaign to raise money for Cancer Research UK. No one is quite sure how the #nomakeupselfie trend started, although it has incredibly raised £8 million (over $13m) so far. Not bad for free advertising that Cancer Research UK didn’t even initiate themselves! The power of social media, eh?
Jemima Khan is the latest celeb to post a no makeup selfie
Never a bunch to miss out on taking a photograph of themselves for their fans, the celebs have recently been getting involved. The latest addition is journalist and campaigner Jemima Khan who snapped a bare faced pic of herself, after retweeting a Cancer Research UK post and adding that she is “always late to the party”. Unsurprisingly, Jemima looked stunning as usual, we’re still waiting for a #nomakeupselfie from a celebrity where they look anything other than flawless!

The December 20 episode will feature an exciting guest appearance.
Cheryl Cole has joined the cast of Coronation Street for a very special one-off episode. The cameo is part of ITV’s Text Santa episode of the soap. Cole is set to play a childhood friend of Coronation’s Tina McIntyre, who drops by for a holiday visit to cheer up her pal. 30-year-old Cheryl visits Tina at the Rovers Return, hoping to lure her back to Newcastle for her mum's Christmas party. As usual, crazy and unpredictable antics ensue. Chezza herself is excited about the cameo in the beloved soap, which has become a TV institution in its five decades on air.
The glamazon has toned down her look in the episode.
"It has always been part of my life, we'd all watch it as kids every night,” Cole said for the Daily Mirror. "It's surreal to be part of something I've watched my whole life."

Michelle Keegan snapped up her seventh Sexiest Female soap star award at the Inside Soap Awards 2012 but still insists she’s anything but sexy.
The actress won the award after playing the outspoken Rovers Return barmaid Tina McIntyre on Coronation Street only months after winning the same award at the 2012 British Soap Awards for the fourth time. She also won the award for Best Dressed soap star which makes her the holder of 2 out of 3 of Corrie’s wins this year. Despite being TVs favourite eye candy, she previously told The Sun’s TV Biz, ‘I’m genuinely not sexy’ and insisted that people voted for Tina rather than herself because she wears little make-up and doesn’t wear tight clothes which Michelle thinks girls can relate to. ‘I think they find that she’s so confident, a bit sexy’, she said. ‘I haven’t changed since day one. I still go out in my pyjamas to Tesco, hair up, no make-up. I feel comfortable like that. If I were to go out in make-up and heels all the time, I’d just feel so uncomfortable. It’s just not me.’
This year she was up against sexy nominees Jacqueline Jossa who plays Lauren Branning in EastEnders, Natalie Anderson AKA Alicia Metcalfe from Emmerdale and Rachel Shenton who plays the wronged Mitzeee in Hollyoaks. Best Soap went to EastEnders who scooped up seven separate awards including Best Actress (Gillian Wright), Best Newcomer (Hetti Bywater) and Best Bitch (Charlie Brooks).
