NCIS have finally reached 300!
Can you believe that 'NCIS' are about to launch their 300th episode on CBS next week? It's been thirteen years and just as many seasons, and it doesn't seem like there's any chance of waving goodbye to the cast anytime soon as most of them are in it for the longhaul.
Mark Harmon teases new NCIS episode
The cast gathered at a celebration of the crime series' milestone, where each and every episode was represented by a delicious cupcake. No-one could believe that the show had managed this rare feat which remains unaccomplished for so many other TV hits. David McCallum, who plays Dr. Donald Mallard in the series, compares it to when he starred in the 60s crime show 'The Man from U.N.C.L.E.'.
Since its premiere in 2003, NCIS has become the most popular show on TV. Each week the NCIS crew go and investigate new crime scenes and the viewers can't get enough. As well as consistently delivering watchable storylines, the viewers are invested in the characters.
Despite actors coming and going, the TV program has managed to keep its popularity and has even seen a number of spin-off series.
The cast is helmed by Mark Harmon who plays Leroy Jethro Gibbs and Pauley Perrette's Abby Sciuto is a constant fan favourite. Michael Weatherly who plays Anthony DiNozzo will be leaving the show soon but before he does the cast and crew are celebrating their 300th episode!

What's better than one baby? Two babies in a row, as far as Michael Weatherly is concerned.
NCIS actor Michael Weatherly and his wife Bojana Jankovic are expecting! The NBC staple announced the news in an interview with Entertainment Tonight, saying: "We're expanding the brand and so I am pleased to announce her to you, sharing with our special friend [ET]: Bojana and I are indeed awaiting our second child. We're very excited."
Weatherly, who came to prominence playing the role of special agent Toni DiNozzo, announced that he and his internist wife are expecting the baby early in the fall. The pair were married in 2009 and had their first child together – a daughter named Olivia – last April. The likable actor enjoys impersonating the little one, so maybe with this new addition he’ll have more subjects for his comedic stylings.
The 44-year-old Weatherly is already a father to a son – a 17-year-old boy from his first marriage to The Young and the Restless actress Amelia Heinle. As for the future baby’s sex, Weatherly said in the interview that he and Jankovic would eventually find out, but didn’t clarify when that would be: "We will find out [the baby's sex], but...my wife doesn't even know I've told you," he said with a cackle. "...We're very excited. You know, sleep's overrated."
