Bowling For Columbine director Moore, who used his 45-second acceptance speech at the Sunday (23MAR03) show to slam American President George W Bush and the war on Iraq, was faced with jeers as he made his controversial statements - despite getting a standing ovation as he took to the stage.
He told the star-studded audience, "We live in a fictitious time. We live in a time where we have a fictitious President conducting a war for fictitious reasons. We are against this war Mr Bush. Shame on you."
And now Moore notes, "It's interesting where the boos were coming from, all from one section, like it was an orchestrated thing. If you look at the tape, it's like it was orchestrated because they booed before I finished the first sentence. Where was the sound coming from?"
