Controversial documentary-maker Michael Moore gained hordes of friends on his flight home from the OSCARS - despite the upset he stirred at the Hollywood ceremony.

Moore, who picked up an award for Bowling For Columbine, was booed and cheered as he used his acceptance speech as an opportunity to attack American President George W Bush and the war on Iraq.

And while many in Hollywood dubbed his move inappropriate, outspoken Moore won hordes of fans on his flight home to Detroit, Michigan, when he brought his Oscar statuette onboard as a carryon item and passed it around to everybody seated with him in the NORTHWEST AIRLINES first-class cabin.
