McIntyre is taking 'Happy and Glorious' tour on the road
McIntyre’s last outing, 'Showtime', was a record breaking success, becoming the biggest selling comedy tour of 2012, where he played to over 640,000 people. During the run, he played 12 date at London’s O2 arena, matching Rihanna’s 2011 record.
This time McIntyre will spent five nights at London's O2 Arena two of which will be recorded for DVD, and three at Wembley Arena. He’ll also be spending four nights at Birmingham’s NIC arena, along with other dates in Liverpool, Glasgow, Manchester, Belfast and Manchester among others. Support on the tour will be provided by stand-up Paul Tonkinson, who writes for McIntyre.
It’s not just his sell out tours which make McIntyre a comedy record breaker, his first DVD, 2008’s 'Live and Laughing 'became the biggest selling debut stand-up DVD of all time. His second, 'Hello Wembley', still holds the record of the fastest-selling UK stand-up DVD of all time.
