Michael Madsen is convinced the breathalyser test used by police at the scene of his drink-driving arrest was "flawed", according to the actor's lawyer.
The Reservoir Dogs star's car was pulled over by cops in Malibu, California on Wednesday afternoon (12Sep12) after he was reportedly spotted driving erratically on the Pacific Coast Highway.
Madsen was arrested on suspicion of Dui after a breathalyser test allegedly showed his blood alcohol content to be more than twice the legal limit, but a lawyer for the star has revealed Madsen believes the result to be wrong.
The actor's attorney, Perry Wander, has told Tmz.com Madsen wants fans to know he did not fail the field sobriety test performed by the officers at the scene and "believes that the breathalyser test is flawed".
Madsen was booked for a misdemeanour Dui offence and bail was set at $15,000 (£9,375) before he was transported to a local hospital to treat an undisclosed ailment. His car was impounded.
