Michael Jackson may have fathered an illegitimate child 31 years ago, if the DNA tests allegedly carried out by a US company are found true.
Michael Jackson may have an illegitimate son, according to the results of an alleged DNA test carried out by Alki David. David is the owner of FilmOn.com who acquired a model of Jackson's dental impression during an auction. David claims he has used the DNA from the mould to test if a 31-year-old man is Jackson's illegitimate son.
Michael Jackson had legitimate three children but could Howard be a secret fourth?
The 31-year-old in question, Brandon Howard, is the son of a famous gospel singer, Miki Howard. Jackson did, according to TMZ, know Miki and claims there may be a link between Jackson's song 'Billie Jean' and the singer who was known as 'Billy'. The lyrics famously stated "Billie Jean is not my lover/She's just a girl who claims that I am the one/But the kid is not my son". Whether there is any factual background to one of Jackson's most famous songs, remains to be seen.
The results were revealed by a panel on FilmOn.com, a free online television provider, and the tests were allegedly carried out by a lab in Washington D.C. although there appears to be some contention regarding whether the results were sent to Utah or even Ireland. Amongst a "lot of numbers" the results claimed the probability of Jackson being Howard's parent was 99.9%.
Listen to Michael Jackson's 'Billie Jean':
Howard, who goes by B Howard, claims to have had little to do with the announcement and sent a video to TMZ in an attempt to clarify his involvement. Howard did not attend the FilmOn.com event but did admit to having a DNA test. He continued by addressing any financial concerns surrounding his position as an illegitimate son of Jackson, claiming "I am definitely not suing the estate". He also mentioned, strangely, how he'd "been taken care of very well," but did not stipulate whether this was by the Jackson estate.
In his full video statement, Brandon said:
"It seems a lot of people are speaking on my behalf and this TMZ thing and all that. So I'm just going to keep this short and simple. Number 1: I did not call TMZ or anything like that, I didn't put out a story, nothing. Number 2: I never self-proclaimed to be Michael Jackson's son. Number 3: I am definitely not suing the [Jackson's] estate, I've been taken care of very well and also I make my own cash. Number 4: it is true I did a DNA test but this has not anything to do with any of this. I swear on my life. I'm done. Just, wherever you guys go from here that's what it is and whatever the DNA test comes out to be that's what it is. This is coming from me personally".
Michael Jackson's 'Billie Jean' lyrics may have taken on another level of meaning with this latest revelation.
