Pop star Michael Jackson is launching a new media offensive as he battles to prove his innocence over child abuse allegations.
The troubled singer has been charged with seven counts of molestation and two of administering an intoxicating agent to a minor, and is concerned at how he has been represented in the media following his arrest in November (03).
Jackson is now planning to set up his own website for reporters, and is thought to have met journalists himself in private.
His new spokesperson Raymone Bain explains her client is, "stepping up to the plate and taking control of his personal image."
She adds, "Michael is concerned about how he has been portrayed in the media and will work more pro-actively to turn that around."20/02/2004 02:47
