Michael Jackson's former friend David Gest wants to see the superstar's doctor serve out his full prison sentence because it would be a "travesty of justice" if he is released early.

The Thriller hitmaker's physician Dr. Conrad Murray is currently serving out a four-year sentence after he was found guilty of administering the fatal dose of anaesthetic propofol which claimed the life of his famous client in 2009.

Murray's lawyers are currently fighting to have the doctor released early and recent reports suggested he could be freed by the end of the year (12), but Gest is adamant he should stay behind bars.

He tells British newspaper The Sun, "My best friend died because he gave him drugs he wasn't supposed to give him. So I think he is getting what he deserves. It would be a travesty of justice to have him released early."
