A Singer Named Brandon Howard Is The Rumoured Son Of Michael Jackson.
FilmOn.com will unveil the DNA results tonight which Howard is convinced shows that he is the King of Pop's heir. He claims to have obtained Jackson's DNA from an old orthodontic device and that the test results show a match, according to TMZ. Estate lawyer Howard Weitzman said, "We've never even heard from him," adding, "Any deadline for claiming to be Michael's child has long since passed."
There is speculation that Howard is eager to be proved as the 'Thriller' singer's son so that he can seek to gain from Jackson's estate, claimed to be worth a total of $1.125 billion. However, in a statement released today, Howard played down his need for closure. "To my fans, family, and friends, despite recent allegations, I did not authorize the testing of my DNA to be compared to that of the late Michael Jackson nor did I contact TMZ regarding the publication of the story," he said.
"This spring, I agreed to be a part of a documentary with FilmOn.TV and was asked to give a sample of my DNA. Even though I agreed to this I never expected it to be used in this manner."
As well as looking similar to the young Jackson, 31 year-old pop star Howard sings and performs like his alleged father too, as seen in his video 'Dancefloor.' It has been suggested that Howard plays up the similarities in order to fuel the rumours and gain attention but again, this is something the artist denies. "I just do what's naturally in my heart, and that's what comes out,' he told EUR, adding "I'm doing me. Who hasn't been inspired by Michael and the Jackson brothers?"
Sceptics Have Suggested Howard Is After A Chunk Of Jackson's Estate.
"Most of the people out now, even my good friend Ne-Yo, he's come out with the sequined jacket and everything. For me, it's more of I'm doing me...I'm just me. I'm Brandon," Howard said. Brandon is an established performer in his own right, having collaborated with Jackson's good friend Akon, as well as Ne-Yo, Chris Brown, Missy Elliot, Lupe Fiasco and Vanessa Hudgens.
If the test proves the story to be true, Howard will become the eldest of Jackson's children and will call Prince Michael, Prince and Paris his half-siblings. The results of the DNA test are due to be revealed today live on FilmOn.com at 12pm Pacific time, 8pm (GMT).
