HARRY POTTER AND THE PRISONER OF AZKABAN star SIR Michael Gambon was once
considered as James Bond.
The British thespian, who takes over the role of PROFESSOR ALBUS
DUMBLEDORE for the late Richard Harris in the Potter movies, was interviewed
for the role of 007 after producers were unhappy with GEORGE LAZENBY's
portrayal of the secret agent
in ON HER MAJESTY'S SECRET SERVICE.
Gambon explains, "They didn't like what they did. They got a lot of
English theatre actors and interviewed us all. It would have been brilliant to
play James Bond."
