Michael Fassbender and Colin Firth are to star in 'Genius' as writer Thomas Wolfe and editor Max Perkins respectively.
The 'Shame' actor will portray writer Thomas Wolfe while the 'Kings Speech' star is to appear as his friend, renowned editor Max Perkins, in the movie, which is based on A. Scott Berg's National Book Award-winning biography 'Max Perkins: Editor of Genius'.
Michael Grandage will direct from a script adapted by 'Skyfall' writer John Logan.
'Genius' will be produced by James Bierman for the Michael Grandage Co. Bierman served as executive producer at Donmar and formed MGC with Grandange.

Colin can next be seen in 'The Railway Man' opposite Nicole Kidman and 'The Devil's Knot' with Reese Witherspoon, while Michael has several projects in the pipeline, including 'The Counselor' and 'Twelve Years a Slave'.
