Hollywood star Michael Douglas is putting his ambitious Spanish cultural centre up for sale after seeing it consistently lose money.

The Basic Instinct actor has put the COSTA NORD CULTURAL CENTRE on the island of Majorca - where he has owned property for more than a decade - on the market for $5.1 million (GBP3.2 million).

A source says, "The centre is a bit of a headache for Michael. He's tired of losing money on it so he has put it up for sale. He might end up selling it to the local authority. He has friends there."
