Actor Michael Clarke Duncan was given CPR by his girlfriend Omarosa before being rushed to the hospital after suffering what is believed to have been a heart attack.
Duncan, who recently applied the finishing touches to the boxing drama The Challenger, was said to be a picture of health whilst on set and the sudden illness has come as a shock to all.
His publicist, Joy Fehily, released a brief email statement saying that the 54-year-old actor 'suffered a myocardial infarction' early on Friday. She also said that his heart rate has since stabilised and he's expected to make a full recovery.
Celebrity news site TMZ reported that Duncan's actress-girlfriend discovered the Green Mile actor in distress at about 2am Friday in his home in the Los Angeles district. The statement from Fehily neither confirmed nor denied whether this was true or not.
TMZ also write that if it were not for the actions of Omarosa, Duncan may very well have not recovered from the attack. The site states that Duncan was given life-saving CPR by his quick-thinking wife whilst she waited for the hastily called ambulance services to arrive. He was transported to a nearby hospital where he was immediately admitted to the ICU by the ambulance, where he is said to be making a full recovery.
