With his young son continuing to fight his battle against cancer, Michael Buble has pulled out of hosting Canada’s Juno Awards, as had been widely predicted.

The 41 year old singer and his Argentinian model wife, Luisana Lopilato, both put their careers on hold late last year when it emerged that their three year old son Noah had been diagnosed with cancer.

This year’s Juno Awards are due to take place on April 2nd but, just like the BRIT Awards that Buble had been due to host in February, he has been forced to pull out in order to be there for his eldest son.

Popular crooner Michael Buble has updated fans on his son’s health, revealing that three year old Noah is “responding well” to treatment three months after he was diagnosed with cancer.

The 41 year old Canadian singer and his Argentinian model wife, Luisana Lopilato, issued an optimistic update about their young son’s progress on Friday (February 3rd) via his official Facebook page.

“We are so grateful to report that our son Noah has been progressing well during his treatment,” they said, adding that “doctors are very optimistic about the future for our little boy”.

The 'Haven't Met You Yet' hitmaker has revealed that David Foster, who has worked with the likes of Whitney Houston and Celine Dion, told him he would be happy to produce a record for him if he was to pay $100,000 a track.

Michael Buble has confirmed that he’ll be the next host of the Brit Awards, replacing previous hosts Ant & Dec starting with the 2017 awards.

Although born in Canada and now a naturalised Italian citizen as of 2005, Buble has often credited the United Kingdom with breaking his career in the first place, and described the opportunity to host the annual Brit Awards ceremony – the industry’s most prestigious in the UK – as a “great honour”.

“I belong to the UK. They made me,” the 41 year old singer said to BBC News in a statement. “So to be honoured by being asked to do something like the Brits, it's a privilege, it really is.”

Their third and latest studio album was announced as the fastest-selling UK album of all time last week as the boys claimed the midweek number one with 145,000 copies.

Fergie arrived at Cedars Sinai hospital in L.A. on Thursday 29th August just in time to go under the knife for a C-section. The Black Eyed Peas singer is expecting a child with her husband Josh Duhamel. According to sources, speaking to TMZ, neither Fergie nor her husband was particularly worried about the pre-scheduled procedure. Duhamel was seen chatting to nurses whilst Fergie prepared in pre-op.

Incredibly, Jay-Z has landed his first ever UK number one album, with Magna Carta Holy Grail storming the chart and holding off Mumford & Sons and Rod Stewart. The rapper's previous highest-charting album was the 2011 collaborate effort with Kanye West, Watch the Throne, which entered at No.3.

Holy Grail managed to hold off Mumford & Sons' Babel despite a surge in sales following the group's triumphant headlining show at the Glastonbury Festival. Jay-Z also comfortably outsold Rod Stewart's number-one album Time. Passenger took the third spot with All The Little Light, with Canadian crooner Michael Buble dropped two places to No.4 with To Be Loved.

Jay-Z has been performing in the UK this weekend, headlining the second night of the Wireless music festival at the Queen Elizabeth Park on the former Olympics site. "I feel the love tonight," Jay-Z, 43, told the crowd, "You've been an incredible audience tonight." The rapper - still one of the biggest hip-hop acts in the world - was joined by Timberlake during the encore for a rendition of Holy Grail.

It's been a rollercoaster of a few months for West London's folk rockers, Mumford & Sons. They've headlined Glastonbury in June but had to deal with bassist Ted Dwane's terrifying blood clot health scare that required immediate brain surgery and several cancelled US festival appearances. Dwane rested until Glastonbury Festival when the quartet resolutely took to the stage armed with their banjos, mandolins, guitars, and even a brass section to show the world the Little Lion Men were unstoppable. They played a barn-storming headline slot, blasting their hits with defiance and making the entire Vale of Avalon take notice.

Mumford & Sons Now Back At No.1 After Glastonbury Success.

Such was the success of the Sunday headliners that many in the crowd were converted to Mumford & Sons' distinctive banjo-tickling ways and rushed home to purchase a copy of their most recent album: September 2012's Babel, despite lead single 'I Will Wait' having premiered nearly a year ago. The album has enjoyed 40 weeks in the charts but Mumford's festival success induced a 384% sales increase, propelling the 12-track record up 15 places to the No.1 roost in the week following the festival and beating Michael Bublé's To Be Lovedby just 125 copies, according to The Independent. Their 2009 debut Sigh No More also climbed to the 12th place after their sunny Somerset hoedown.

Michael Buble fulfilled his random act of kindness quota on Thursday, by serenading weary passengers on the New York subway. The Canadian voice gave an a capella performance along with the group Naturally 7 and of course, the show managed to attract many more spectators than your average subway jam. Buble performed his song Who’s Loving You, off his latest album To Be Loved. And the love was definitely felt, even so early in the morning, with most of the passengers rushing for work, this was a nice way for the crooner to brighten up the New Yorkers’ day. And, since he released the album just last week, this also doubled as a clever way to sneak in some promotion, while he was at it.

Naturally, Buble dressed up for the occasion in a snazzy black suit and tie, impeccably prepared for all the inevitable photos and videos the crowd took of the performance. Afterwards, he talked about his love for the spirit of New York and impromptu subway performances. “Singing in the New York subway, that is when you know you’ve made it,” gushed Buble to the rest of the musicians after his performance. Well, we suppose that depends on your definition of making it. With several platinum albums behind him, however, Buble is certainly one singer, who can afford to perform for free, just to inject a little happiness into the lives of weary New Yorkers. Presumably inspired by Kim Wilde’s drunken singalong on the London tube over the Christmas period, Michael Buble has taken his jazzy light entertainment vibes to the New York subway, Sky News reports. Taking up position on the platform at the 66th Street Lincoln stop and accompanied by backing group Naturally 7, Buble sang an adapted rendition of The Jackson 5’s Whos’ Lovin’ You.  

A small group gathered round and some filmed the performance on their mobile phones. When the performance had ended, he hugged the group and said that singing on the subway was “the coolest thing ever.” He explained “Singing in the New York subway is something that's been done for years and years and years and I feel like it's the most authentic, organic way to make music. You see some of the greatest musicians in the world come down here and play.” Buble is currently on a promotional tour for his recent album release To Be Loved. “Out of all the press I had to do, out of everything that I'm gonna do - Europe and America - this was the thing I was most excited about,” the singer explained.

Michael Buble's baby is going to be the luckiest child in the world, the baby will have his voice to lull him into a deep slumber nightly. Buble's the voice of Christmas, and with an infant on the way he may even do a lullaby album. He and his Argentinian wife Luisana Lopilto revealed the information via a YouTube video and her Facebook page.

The message on Facebook read: "I wanted to share with you this great joy with which God has blessed our families and us. Thanks to my family for being with me in every second of my anxiety for wanting to tell, and take care of me with love as they do every day. Thanks to my friends for being as happy as me and giving me the most beautiful hugs. And thanks to God for giving me one of the most beautiful joys and opportunities that a woman can get."

The couple married in 2011 having been engaged for two years, and soon after Buble told ET Canada that he'd love to have kids, but, at the time said he wanted to wait until they were ready, "when you feel like you've lived and you've partied and done all the things you want to do. When you've worked your butt off," that's when to have a child.

Instead of taking to the skies for a lavish honeymoon, the couple opted to carry out charity work in Africa, instead. 

Buble famously penned his hit track 'Haven't Met You Yet' for his wife-to-be, and Lopilato even starred in the music video. She remains one of the biggest stars in Argentina and on-top of her singing career has modelled for Ultimo, Coca-Cola, McDonalds, Gillette, L'Oreal and Blackberry.

This year’s Brit Awards nominations look as though they were concocted by a group of strangers, with wildly different cultural backgrounds, on a drunken night out. Is this a sign that the mainstream music world is finally starting to accept that it’s becoming more and more acceptable to have diverse musical tastes? Or are the organisers of the BRITS simply trying to spark controversy? have they lost the plot? Or is this an honest reflection of the mindset of a 2013 British music buying public? Let’s take a look at the evidence, and scrutinise some of the more baffling categories…

British Female Solo Artist Nominees – One of the more sensitive and contentious issues, here, in the British female solo artist category. Of the five nominees, only four of them were alive this year. We understand that Amy Winehouse has a lasting legacy in British pop music. We understand that she was – and, in many ways remains - a tour de force. But, for the sake of the awards, we simply have to ask, at the risk of sounding flippant, what has Amy Winehouse done for British music in the last 12 months? Sadly, nothing. Her posthumous album (released in December 2011, we should add), Lioness: Hidden Treasures was politely and quietly denounced for being little more than cuttings from the studio floor. We simply can’t get our heads around her inclusion on this list. With Bat For Lashes throw in as the ‘alternative’ wild card, to lend a touch of outsider cool to the category, it’s between Emeli Sande, Paloma Faith and Jessie Ware to catch this one, we reckon.
