It has been a triumphant week for the rap and metal tribes whilst the Met Gala and the American Comedy Awards gave us lots of fashion to ogle.
Met Gala: This year's Met Gala was even more extravagant than ever before as the biggest names in showbiz arrived in New York clad in "decorations" and finery. Anna Wintour's bash served up some true style winners, particularly the couples (Hello there Beckhams) as well as some shockingly badly dressed individuals (Looking at you, Rita Ora). Eminem Wembley: Eminem is about to celebrate being the first solo rapper to headline a Wembley arena concert when he plays in July. Sure to be a sell-out, the one-off show was booked as an alternative to playing British Summer Time at Hyde Park after Eminem was reportedly rejected from the royal event. The 'Just Lose It' star will be playing hits old and new and celebrating the chart-topping release of his eighth studio album, The Marshall Mathers LP 2, with his first London show in 13 years. American Comedy: Seth Rogen emerged as one of the main winners at the American Comedy Awards where the actor and filmmaker celebrated a double win for his film This Is The End. Will Ferrell and Melissa McCarthy picked up awards for Comedy Actor and Actress in a film respectively whilst The Colbert Report and The Daily Show with Jon Stewart tied for the Late Night Talk Show prize.
Jackman's Cancer: Hugh Jackman just can't seem to shake himself of skin cancer. The 45 year-old Les Misérables star has been treated for cancer again, having undergone surgery to procedure to remove a Basel Cell Carsinoma from his nose after a similar op last year. The Australian actor has issued a plea for his fans to "wear sunscreen" to protect themselves from the damaging rays of the sun. Read the full story here.
Gambling Affleck-Tion: Believe it or not but Oscar-winning filmmaker and actor Ben Affleck is also a dab-hand at gambling and has celebrated some serious wins over the years for his master Blackjack skills. The Argo star's success caught up with him this week when he was allegedly ejected from a Las Vegas casino under suspicion of card-counting. Read the full story here. Miley London: Miley Cyrus has finally overcome her illness to arrive in the UK where she'll be touring the country on her Bangerz tour. Her new comedy Tammy sees the actress play the titular loveable antihero in a movie written by the Bridesmaids star and directed by her husband, Ben Falcone. The trailer, which you can watch here, shows plenty of the movie's hilarity as the would-be criminal Tammy robs a fast food restaurant, goes on the run and tries to return her plunder.
