Former Spice Girl Melanie CHISHOLM's solo career is on the rocks after her record label and touring company posted severe financial losses over the last year.

Chisholm's Red Girl Records filed a $86,000 (GBP48,000) loss during it's first year in existence, while sister firm Red Girl Touring shed $527,000 (GBP293,000) over the same period.

The NEVER BE THE SAME AGAIN singer topped the UK charts in the wake of the girlband's split in 1998, but she was later dropped by her record company and funded third album BEAUTIFUL INTENTIONS herself.

But the LP, which was released in April this year (05), only charted at number 24 in the UK, and the 31-year-old recently performed to a mere 80 people at a free concert in Sydney, Australia.
