Mel Gibson's controversial film The Passion Of The Christ looks set to
smash box-office records to become the biggest grossing movie of all time.
The biblical epic has grossed $316.8 million (GBP176 million) in six weeks
across America and Canada, and took $3.6 million (GBP2 million) in its opening
weekend in Britain - the highest ever for a subtitled film.
At this rate, Gibson's labour of love looks sets to beat TITANIC,
SPIDER-MAN and Harry Potter AND THE SORCERER'S STONE in the box office records.
