Mel Gibson's career seemed shattered Monday when posted an eight-minute recording of Gibson using threats and foul language to ex-girlfriend OKSANA GRIGORIEVA in which he shouts at one point that she needs a "bat to the side of the head" and warns that he could put her "in a rose garden." The Los Angeles Times observed today (Tuesday) that as a result of the recording and a previous one in which Gibson used racist language, Hollywood insiders "suggest that ... Gibson has become anathema in the entertainment business; the insiders see little way Gibson would be hired as either an actor or director on any mainstream film." Gibson was dropped by his agency, William Morris Endeavor, last Friday.
