Despite the international success of her hit track 'All About That Bass,' the 21-year-old singer has still made no money.
Meghan Trainor burst onto the music scene in 2014 with her immensely popular track 'All About That Bass,' and although the song was a huge international success, the 21-year-old singer recently insisted she hasn't made a lot of money yet.
Trainor has still not made any financial gain
Even though many believe 2015 is going to be Maghan Trainor's year, she still has a lot of work to do until she can achieve any substantial financial gain, which is expected to come in the next several months.
While being interviewed by the U.K.'s Daily Star, the Massachusetts native said, "I haven't made any money yet. They say I will get a big fat cheque after nine months which will be in April, so I'm hoping that's right."
And Trainor isn't afraid to admit she cannot wait to receive her much deserved pay-off. "People think I must be rich but I'm not. I haven't been able to make a big purchase yet but I'm working on it."
Trainor also discussed the highly-anticipated "cute acoustic love" song she has written with One Direction heartthrob Harry Styles.
"Harry is the best person to work with. Nice, funny and very normal," she said. "I would love to write together again and I think it will happen, absolutely. It would be amazing if they wanted me to write with [One Direction] for their next album. I just love writing, so I would love to."
Trainor's debut studio album 'Title', which was released on January 9, 2015, is currently No.1 on the Billboard album charts.
