Veteran rocker Meat Loaf has assured fans he will make a "full recovery" after he was taken ill during a live TV show on Wednesday (29Feb12).
The Bat Out of Hell singer abandoned a planned interview on U.K. programme Loose Women just minutes before he was due on air after he began to feel queasy backstage.
The star was later seen being steadied by an aide as he left the studio, but he's now reached out to devotees to explain he is suffering from "mild flu" and is on the mend.
A spokesman for the rocker says, "He's got a mild case of the flu and has been advised by doctors to rest after a gruelling international schedule promoting (new album) Hell In A Handbasket. Meat is expected to make a quick, full recovery."
In July last year (11), Meat Loaf passed out on stage at two concerts in the space of four days, later blaming both incidents on a lack of oxygen aggravating his asthma.
