Heavyweight rocker Meat Loaf is amazed he is still alive, after surviving three near-death experiences and nearly suffering a heart attack on stage. The Bat Out Of Hell hitmaker was once sitting in the back seat of a car that rolled off the road after hurtling too fast round a bend, leaving him unable to travel in the back of a car ever again. Meat Loaf, real name MARVIN LEE ADAY, was also hit on the head by a 12 pounds (5.4 kilograms) shot put during a sports session at high school. He reveals, "I was standing 62 feet away with my back turned, warming up and there was no way anyone thought it would be tossed that far. "But the guy who hit me was the champion of Dallas. Everyone else was throwing them about 30 feet." But Meat Loaf says his most frightening near-death experience was also the most recent. He says, "The worst incident was in 2003 when I had Wolff-Parkinson-White Syndrome (a rapid heart rate). I thought I'd had a heart attack on stage."
