McFly stars Tom Fletcher and Harry Judd are celebrating after scaling Scotland's Ben Nevis mountain for charity on Sunday (07Aug11).
The British musicians trekked to the top of the peak to raise funds for underprivileged kids in boarding schools on the Peruvian island of Amantani.
The bandmates made the challenge extra tough by agreeing to carry the equivalent weight of a child in their backpacks during the climb, and later took to their pages to share their experience with fans.
Fletcher declared, "We did it!!! Me and @mcflyharry climbed Ben Nevis with a B**Ody heavy weight on our backs. Reached the summit in 3 hour 25 (minutes) in miserable weather.
"I won't was tough! That Peruvian kid was heavy! Only stayed at the summit for 5mins coz (because) of the bad conditions."
Judd adds, "Climbing Ben Nevis isn't too hard, but climbing it with 16kg on your back is Really Hard!! Thank you so much for all your donations. The money raised by all the climbers today will go towards educating Peruvian teenagers for a whole year."
