Pop band McFly have scored their seventh number one single after beating Beyonce and Shakira's Beautiful Liar to the top of the UK chart.

Double A-side Baby's Coming Back/Transylvania pushes the divas' joint effort into second, while Don't Matter by Akon rises 11 places to three.

New York hip-hop collective Gym Class Heroes drop down a place to four with Cupid's Chokehold.

And they may have only scraped 19 points in Eurovision, but the British single-buying public have propelled Scooch and Flying the Flag (For You) into the top five.

In the album's chart Arctic Monkeys' Favourite Worst Nightmare still reigns supreme, with Send Away the Tigers, Manic Street Preachers' first album for three years, forced into second.

Call Me Irresponsible by Canadian crooner Michael Buble and Amy Winehouse's Back to Black retain their top five positions as The Boy With No Name from Travis comes in at number four.
