British boy band McFly took to the stage yesterday (23JUL06) for the last ever episode of iconic British music show Top Of The Pops - bringing to an end its 42-year run. They played number one hit DON'T STOP ME KNOW alongside a host of UK chart stars including former Mis-Teeq singer Alesha Dixon. A recorded show containing celebrity tributes and archive footage will air on Sunday (30JUL06), and will be hosted by veteran presenter JIMMY SAVILE and FEARNE COTTON. Producer JANE BENNETT says, "We're very proud of a show that survived 42 years."
