While some might call him the ‘King of the Myspace Generation’, MC Lars sees himself simply as a kid making rap music that pushes the boundaries of what rap music is.
The laptop rapper is taking it one stop further and abandoning the CD/LP format – for the next six months he will be moving to a monthly digital-only model. Lars will release a single per month, starting in November. The monthly single will be complimented by a new video blog and an exclusive new podcast of ‘The MC Lars Show’.
Before the MC Lars revolution commences, the rapper will be releasing the second single from his freethinking album, The Graduate, on 23rd October. This will be available in both physical and digital formats. The new single ‘Ahab’ sees Lars recap Melville's Moby Dick and tuck it with a sample from Supergrass' ‘Moving’! Something we’re pretty sure no-one before him has attempted!
