Ashlee Simpson has said her love for fashion began when she discovered ''hammer pants'' - trousers made famous by 1980s rapper MC Hammer - in her youth.
Ashlee Simpson's love for fashion started with ''hammer pants''.
The 28-year-old actress-and-singer discovered the baggy trousers - made popular in the 1980s by rapper Mc Hammer - when she was a child and they immediately ignited her passion.
She told Us Weekly: ''In kindergarten I loved hammer pants! Fashion really starts in those [younger] years, and I started with hammer pants.''
Ashlee's four-year-old son Bronx - from her previous marriage to Pete Wentz - is already developing an interest in fashion and even his mother isn't above being criticised.
She said: ''He always lets us know exactly what he likes and doesn't like - even with what I wear.''
Meanwhile, his grandmother Tina described Bronx as a ''fashionista'' and revealed his love for wearing ''girl leggings''.
She added: ''Bronx is the biggest fashionista! He loves the girl leggings - he wears them all the time!''
Tina and her daughter work together - along with Ashlee's sister Jessica - on the Jessica Simpson Collection and the family bond makes an ''amazing'' work environment.
Ashlee explained: ''I get to work with my mamma and sister and we really have fun together. It's amazing.''
