Eccentric TOOL frontman Maynard James Keenan has caused confusion amongst his fans after professing to finding JESUS in a recent website posting.
Devotees of the singer, who also fronts A Perfect Circle, can't be sure that the message isn't an April Fool's Day prank, but Keenan and his publicists are refusing to comment on the posting.
When MTV NEWS attempted to delve further into the story and reports that Tool have split, Keenan emailed them back saying: "I did, in fact, find Jesus. More news to follow. God bless ya."
In his letter to fan site TOOLSHED.COM the singer states: "Some recent events have led me to the rediscovery of Jesus," and that, "Tool will need to take the back seat."
Keenan would be the second heavy rocker in as many months to profess a new interest in religion - in February (05), KORN star BRIAN 'HEAD' WELCH announced he was leaving the group to concentrate on his new-found religious interests.07/04/2005 03:30
