Watch the Alternative Trailer for new Spike Jonze Movie Where The Wild Things Are
For a book as widely loved as Maurice Sendak's 'Where the Wild Things Are' to be brought to the big screen, who better to carry out the task than visionary director Spike Jonze, responsible for such movies as 'Being John Malkovich' and 'Adaptation'.
Max (Max Records) is a sensitive, misunderstood child who like the child in all of us, feels the ever longing desire to escape from the real world, and find somewhere exciting where he can be king.
Max does just that, and heads to where the Wild Things are. A place filled with interesting, strange creatures desperately in need of a new leader, and they all agree that Max is the man for the job. Max accepts gratefully and vows to build them a world where everyone will be forever happy.
But soon enough Max realizes the sheer volume of the task in hand and finds that relationships here can be a little more complicated than he originally thought.
