A representative for rapper Max B has denied reports the incarcerated star has lost his appeal against his 75-year jail sentence.
The hip-hop star was convicted of felony murder and armed robbery, among other charges, in 2009 stemming from his involvement in a 2007 New Jersey hotel incident, which left one victim dead.
The rapper, real name Charly Wingate, was sentenced to 75 years behind bars for the crime but he hired a new legal team and was granted an appeal with a new trial.
Reports suggested a New Jersey judge denied his appeal on Tuesday (28Feb12), meaning he would not be up for parole until at least 2042, but a spokesperson for Wingate insists a decision won't be made until April (12).
The rep tells AllHipHop.com, "We will have the official word on Max B.’s appeal in April."
