An appeals court upheld rapper Max B's murder conviction on Thursday (30Aug12).
The hip-hop star was convicted of felony murder and armed robbery, among other charges, in 2009 stemming from his involvement in a 2007 New Jersey hotel incident, which left one victim dead.
Max B, real name Charly Wingate, was sentenced to 75 years behind bars for the crime but he hired a new legal team and was granted an appeal.
However, New Jersey's Superior Court Appellate Division panel upheld the rapper's convictions and sentences Thursday.
The decision means Wingate will not be eligible for parole until 2042.
