Maverick Sabre - Innerstanding Album Review

In the eyes of some, taking a two-three sabbatical from any job can leave you sluggish and off point. Taking a two-three sabbatical after selling 250,000 copies of your debut album in such a ruthless and forgetting music climate is almost suicide to some.

Maverick Sabre - Innerstanding Album Review

However, that is what Michael Stafford, aka, Maverick Sabre chose to do, and after his successful first album 'Lonely Are The Brave', he is back with 13 new tracks to remind his fans and the rest of the industry he still exists with 'Innerstanding'.

It was 2011 when Maverick Sabre released his first official single, followed soon by the rest of his debut album in 2012. It was an entertaining and easily listenable album with many great tunes to nod you head and sing to yourself in the shower.
The young-London-born singer-songwriter used his love of hip hop, soul and RnB to fuse together music that combined all of those elements. It included tracks like 'I Need', 'These Days' and 'Shooting Stars', with the latter showing the artists fantastic potential.
Though all that seems like a life time ago, a time where Ed Sheeran was popping up on peoples radars singing A Team in the smallest of venues.

Rita Ora Apologises For Wardrobe Malfunction, 'How Embarrassing!'

Rita Ora Tim Westwood Gemma Cairney Annie Mac Katy B Ms Dynamite Maverick Sabre Example

Rita Ora has apologised to her fans for an embarrassing wardrobe malfunction at the Red Bull Culture Clash event at Wembley Arena on Wednesday evening (November 8, 2012). The R.I.P singer exposed a little too much in her risque outfit and took to Twitter this morning to joke about the incident.

"Yes. It's true. I got straight off a motorbike from O2 to Wembley, I didn't have time to change.I didn't have time to change and then all of a sudden the zip got lower and lower, I rushed on stage and pop! It happened, f**k!" The chart-topping singer added, "Sorry guys (How embarrassing). Apologised! Despite that amazing show! :) LOL". Other than Ora's slight hitch, the unique event ran pretty smoothly. It saw four different soundsystems being pitched against each other, with audience decibels rating each act. The rules were dictated by DJ's Tim Westwood and Gemma Cairney - their Radio 1 pal Annie Mac boasted a strong roster that included Katy B, Ms Dynamite, Maverick Sabre and Example. However, it was Boy Better Know, with the help of Hot Chip and Lethal, who roused the evening's biggest cheers and eventually took the Red Bull crown.

21-year-old Ora became the first artist in 2012 to have three consecutive No.1 singles, with Hot Right Now, How We Do (Party) and R.I.P.

Maverick Sabre, Interview

Interview with Maverick Sabre

Meeting Maverick Sabre for the third time in 6 months, I kind of knew what to expect from the London-Irish musician. Even though I was stuck in an elevator for a few minutes before the interview, I still felt relaxed.
Maverick Sabre's career has blossomed - in the last few months especially - and although that was one thing I wanted to delve into, I was still surprised about how laid back he was. Going off point and talking for what felt like hours, the interview took a far more conversational tone than planned, even resulting in the tables turning and Mr Sabre questioning me, the interviewer. Nonetheless, the addiction of music is always welcoming.

Interview with Maerick Sabre

Since Maverick Sabre wowed the seated crowd of Later...with Jools Holland in April, eyebrows have been raised and heads have been bopped to his offerings of cocktail of motown, reggae, dub step and commercial r 'n' b. An irishman born in Hackney, Ryan Duggins travelled to Wales to talk about being on benefits, watching Alfred Hitchcock movies and how Drake has dumbed down his music for money.
