American actor Matthew Perry has expressed his "relief" at his hit sitcom
Friends coming to an end after 10 years.
Earlier this month (MAY04), Perry, Jennifer Aniston, David Schwimmer, LISA
KUDROW, Courteney Cox ARQUETTE and MATT LeBLANC appeared in their final episode
of the popular show together.
And while many would expect Perry to be mourning the end of the series,
the 34-year-old admits it's put a lot of things into perspective for him.
He says, "The interesting part is I do feel a sense of relief. In a way
it's given me everything that I've ever dreamed about.
"But in a way I kind of feel like the six of us were shot off in a
slingshot 10 years ago and it was just fired off - and we had no idea what we
were dealing with.
"And, to be quite honest, the night of the last show was almost like our
feet kind of touched the ground and I was very surprised to have that
"At its best, you just look at it as a job very well done and then you get
to kind of move on. And I'm fortunate where I can, hopefully, do some kind of
independent movies and do the kind of work that I want do."
