Matthew Mcconaughey is planning to spend Christmas (06) with the Australian family who put him up as an exchange student in 1988. The SAHARA star is filming new movie FOOL'S GOLD with Kate Hudson in Australia and the schedule is so tight he won't be able to fly back home for the holidays. So he's spending Christmas Day with his second family Down Under. He says, "I haven't seen them in 19 years. When I left, they had five daughters and one granddaughter, and now they've got five daughters and 12 grandchildren." But MCConaughey hasn't forgotten his family back home in Texas - he's giving everyone headlamps. He explains, "I think it's one of the best inventions we've got going. I gave electronic toothbrushes last year."
