Matthew Mcconaughey danced during his girlfriend Camila Alves' labour - and even played Brazilian music to keep her entertained.
Brazilian model Alves gave birth to Levi Alves on 7 July (08) and MCConaughey was on hand to ease her through her labour pains.
He tells America's OK! magazine, "Contractions started kicking in, and we found a great rhythm. We had a 14-hour session, her and I did. I sat there with her, right between her legs. We got tribal on it. We danced to it. I was DJing this native Brazilian music.
"We'd been up for 40-something hours, and we went from dead tired to a really steadfast, 'Let's handle this… let's stay in the rhythm. Don't let the contraction be more than you'."
The actor was the first person to hold the newborn - and was ecstatic to discover he had a son.
He adds, "I had him for the first 15 minutes because they had to take care of Camila. I said, 'Come here, little man.' I saw the pecker and screamed that we'd been right all along about him being a boy. Then I brought him over to her."
