British actor Matthew Lewis is urging his fans to support a foundation set up in honour of his murdered Harry Potter co-star Robert Knox.
Knox, who played Hogwarts student Marcus Belby in Harry Potter And The Half-Blood Prince, was knifed to death at the age of 18 as he defended his brother in a brawl outside a nightclub in Kent, England in 2008.
A charity was set up in the wake of his death to help educate children about the dangers of knife crime and to promote arts among youngsters, and Lewis, who played Neville Longbottom in the wizard franchise, is urging fans to get involved.
In a post on Twitter.com, he writes, "Check out The Rob Knox Foundation. A really good friend of mine, sadly taken away from us too soon... Miss you pal."
