Fact: The glass home featured in Matthew Broderick's 1986 film Ferris Bueller's Day Off has finally been sold after four years on the market. The Chicago, Illinois pad, which famously had a window smashed in the Ferrari car crash scene in John Hughes' coming-of-age comedy, originally went up for sale in 2009 for $2.3 million (£1.44 million), but the price had to be slashed twice before it was snapped up at $1.25 million (£781,250).
