Bjork In Custody Row

Bjork Matthew Barney

Bjork has been accused of demanding too much time with her daughter.

The 'Human Behaviour' singer's ex-partner Matthew Barney is suing the eccentric star over custody of their 12-year-old daughter Isadora, who is nicknamed Doa, claiming she is going against the youngster's wishes to split her time equally between her parents.

The artist filed a lawsuit in Brooklyn Supreme Court and claims the 49-year-old singer ''is effectively sacrificing Doa's emotional well-being in favour of her own selfish desires.''

Bjork has opened up about her painful 2013 split from longtime boyfriend Matthew Barney, revealing most of the tracks on her new album were inspired by the breakdown of the romance and its aftermath.

The eccentric pop star reveals she poured her emotions into the songs on Vulnicura, explaining the split was "the most painful thing" she had ever experienced.

Bjork tells Pitchfork, "The only way I could deal with that was to start writing for strings; I decided to become a violin nerd and arrange everything for 15 strings and take a step further than what I've done before."

The Order (Cremaster 3) Review

Terrible
There are plenty of us that just aren't going to get Matthew Barney's video art. Ever.

Ten years in the making, his highfalutin "Cremaster Cycle" consists of five films, in no particular order and with no particular story or even dialogue. The Order, a film excerpted from Cremaster 3 (the inexplicable final installment of the five movies) is no exception, though I'll do my best here.

Bjork Pleased She Broke Acting Promise

Bjork Matthew Barney Lars Von Trier Dancer in the Dark

Icelandic pop star Bjork is thrilled she broke her promise to ditch acting, because her collaboration with artist lover Matthew Barney in DRAWING RESTRAINT 9 has been a staggering success.

The eccentric singer, who vowed she would never act again after working with Lars Von Trier on 2000's Dancer in the Dark, reneged on her decision when Barney persuaded her not only to compose a soundtrack for his art film, but also to star alongside him.

The pair appear as a couple preparing for a traditional Japanese wedding, who find themselves stranded on a whaling ship. After seeing the horrors of the whaling trade, they chop off their legs and mutate into whales.

In the film, Bjork and Barney play a couple preparing for a traditional Japanese wedding, who find themselves stranded on a whaling ship. After seeing the horrors of the whaling trade, they chop off their legs and mutate into whales.

Bjork's Baby Prompted House Move

Bjork Matthew Barney

Eccentric rocker Bjork's unborn baby prompted the Icelandic singer to hunt for a new home.

Bjork didn't know she was pregnant with boyfriend Matthew Barney's daughter at the time, and couldn't understand why she was so desperate to leave Manhattan for a more rural setting.
