British comedy sketch show LITTLE BRITAIN will be brought to a close after
the upcoming third series to allow creators Matt Lucas and David Walliams to
concentrate on other projects.
Walliams and Lucas - who begin filming for the forthcoming series this
week (begs13JUN05) - have decided not to continue with a fourth series to
ensure the show exits at the height of its popularity.
The decision will disappoint fans of the BBC show - whose cult following
has attracted celebrity guest appearances from SIR Elton John, George Michael
and Robbie Williams.
Hollywood hunk George Clooney and veteran screen star Robert Vaughn are
also set for a cameo role in the next series.
