Actor Matt LeBlanc found a use for aerial news shots of his home during the height of his Friends fame - they made him realise his roof needed some work.
The star was initially upset that there was a helicopter flying over his Hollywood property but quickly realised he could use the news angle to scope out repairs.
He tells U.S. TV host Jimmy Kimmel, "I was watching TV and the news was on in the middle of the day and the screen was cut into six portions and each shot was a live shot of each of our houses.
"I was like, 'What the hell is the point of that...?' I look a little closer and I'm like, 'My roof looks like s**t'. So the helicopter leaves, I get out the ladder, I go up there (and) sure as hell I need a new roof."
