Matt Damon has come clean about his supporting role in flop golfing drama The Legend of Bagger Vance - he was terrible as RANNULPH JUNUH.
Damon admits he only signed up for the 2000 film because it was a chance to work with his hero Robert Redford, and, in hindsight, he should have turned the part down.
The actor reveals, "I chose a director who I admired and ultimately I don't feel I brought anything to that role... I underserved him (Redford).
"I researched it all wrong - I went out and played golf and it turns out millions of people play golf. I didn't learn anything.
"I sat there for hundreds of hours... just focusing on this thing and by the end I just showed up for wok. It was hopeless. I didn't have anything."
