Massive Attack rapper ROBERT DEL NAJA is angry that people's perceptions of him will be forever tainted - even though he's been cleared of child pornography allegations.
The British dance music guru - better known as 3D - was cleared as a suspect under the OPERATION ORE nationwide crackdown on internet paedophiles in March (03).
But it's left the hitmaker having to confront a variety of reactions he now receives from the public on a regular basis.
He says, "Now I walk into a shop or pub and I can't really be myself. I have to look at everyone twice in the eye. I have to confront almost everyone - if you've got something to f****** say to me, come out and say it, let me f****** hear it.
"You can say that it's a load of b*******, but once it's written down, it's written down. It could come up in my obituary. All the things I've done in my life and that might come up. What's that about?
"I feel shattered but you learn from it. When I wake up in the morning I get that sinking feeling. But you have to deal with it, you have to go forward. It's given me a lot more resolve to do what I want to do."
Massive Attack will play a five night residency at London's BRIXTON ACADEMY next week (begs21APR03), every show is sold-out.
