Mary-Louise Parker is planning to abandon her Hollywood career because she has grown tired of life in the spotlight.
The former Weeds star admits she is "not really that into" acting any more, but she is planning to tackle another Tv project and maybe take on some theatre work before winding down her career.
Parker tells Australia's Herald Sun, "I'm not really that into it any more. I don't know how many more movies I wanna do. I wouldn't mind doing a Tv show again; I'd like to do a couple more plays, but I'm almost done acting, I think."
Parker puts her decision down to the negative aspects of fame, insisting she no longer wants to deal with the mean side of Hollywood, adding, "The world has gotten too mean for me, it's just too b**chy. All the websites and all the blogging and all the people giving their opinion and their hatred... It's all so mean-spirited, it's all so critical."
The actress also insists she wants to shield her two young children from the negative attention she receives, adding, "It doesn't feel nice. There's way more mean-spiritedness (in the industry)."
