Emma Griffiths Marvin Humes

It might be all change for ‘The Voice UK’ when it completes its move to ITV for its next series, but one thing will remain the same when the talent show moves home – Emma Willis will continue presenting it!

‘The Voice UK’ was poached from the BBC’s stable in November 2015, making the recent fifth series the last at its old BBC One home. 40 year Willis co-presented it for two seasons alongside Marvin Humes, but ITV has confirmed that she’ll be making the move too.

The Voice is back, and with an almost entirely new line-up too, as the BBC's returning singing contest hopes to come back with a bang and establish itself as a favourite with the British viewing public. Having suffered in the ratings in the last season, BBC bosses are hoping that the shake-up on the show will reinvigorate it's formula and turn the show into the country's top-rated reality contest.

Kylie Minogue and Ricky Wilson join the judge's panel, taking up the spots vacated by the departing Jessie J and Danny O'Donoghue, and previous hosts Holly Willoughby and Reggie Yates have been replaced too, with Emma Willis and former JLS star Marvin Humes fronting the show this time around. The question is, will this shake up be enough to see the show surpass The X Factor as the nation's favourite singing contest? And can the show actually produce any stars this time?

JLS announced this year that they were to separate and head out on their own separate ventures, announcing their last ever run of performances along with the news of their split this summer. Marvin Humes, Aston Merrygold, Oritsé Williams and JB Gill performed to over 20,000 fans at the O2 Arena in London as they said goodbye to their fans after enjoying one of the best success stories The X Factor has offered to date.

The boys played for one last (hopefully not) performance on Sunday, 22 December

It was an emotional night, but one that didn't lack the excitement and expression of the JLS performances of old. Among the thousands of screaming fans singing along in person for the last time, the boys also performed to a number of famous faces who didn't want to miss out on saying goodbye with the JLS boys. One Direction's Louis Tomlinson was there with girlfriend Eleanor Calder, as was Marvin Hume's wife and The Saturdays member Rochelle Humes. Former X Factor judge Cheryl Cole, who was on the judging panel in 2008 when the boys were first discovered, was also there, Instagramming a picture of the eventing with the caption: "Soooo proud of these boys ! Was here on their first day! It only felt right to be here on their last! Love you boys! #farewellJls #muchlove."

'The Voice UK' Acquire JLS Heartthrob Marvin Humes

Marvin Humes

BBC's talent show, 'The Voice UK' is continuing its rebuilding process after key high profile departures by hiring JLS's Marvin Humes.

Humes is set to replace Reggie Yates who left the show earlier this week along with his co-host Holly Willoughby, whose replacement has been announced as 'Big Brother' presenter Emma Willis.

The 28 year old will be elated that he landed this role, as he will soon have a lot of spare time on his hands because his band 'JLS' announced earlier this year that they are splitting up in the near future following a final farewell tour. The singer has already demonstrated his hosting skills by joining wife, Rochelle of 'The Saturdays', in presenting an episode of 'This Morning'.

JLS's Marvin Humes Signs Up For 'The Voice' As The Show Rebuilds

Holly Willoughby Marvin Humes

It was like something out of Game of Thrones; suddenly, everyone was gone. But while The Voice has lost many of its key players, the latest: Reggie Yates and Holly Willoughby, The BBC have already started rebuilding from the bottom up, with Marvin Humes coming in as host alongside Emma Willis.

“Marvin’s nervous but excited,’ a source explained to The Sun. “He’s got a few months to brush up on his presenting skills before the live shows, but he’ll go straight into the recorded rounds very soon. Bosses reckon he and Emma will have great chemistry.”

Early suggestions were that Willis’ husband, Matt, would be the one to replace Yates, forming a husband and wife partnership for the show, but alas, that never materialised.

Frankie Sandford Rochelle Wiseman The Saturdays Marvin Humes Wayne Bridge

Pregnant Frankie Sandford must be feeling very broody at the moment after her bandmate Rochelle Humes gives birth to baby Alaia-mai on Monday (May 20th 2013).

'Oh my goodness absolute baby bliss! Alaia-mai is gorgeous! Seeing them all together was so lovely. New little family. Come on baby Bridge!', The Saturdays singer gushed on Twitter after visiting Marvin Humes and Rochelle Humes following the birth of their first child. Frankie is clearly enjoying the thought of upcoming motherhood alongside her fiancé Wayne Bridge, also posting a photo of some tiny Vans trainers on the social networking site with the caption, 'So tempted! Need these little ones in my life!! Too cute.' However, she admits that she is struggling with some of her cravings telling Heatworld at 'The Hangover Part III' premiere: 'I was never really a big drinker before I got pregnant. But now that I'm not allowed, I really want one!' She also confessed to having a yearning for strawberries, which can't be all bad.

Meanwhile, following the arrival of little Alaia-mai Marvin has assured friends and fans that everything is fine. 'This morning we welcomed our baby girl Alaia-Mai Humes..Mum is doing great & baby is amazing! We are both overjoyed! Thanks for your love x' he posted on Monday.

The X Factor's Own JLS Bow Out After Five Years On Stage

JLS Simon Cowell Marvin Humes

Nostalgia abounds as the news that one of the X Factor’s first prodigal acts – the boyband JLS – is no longer together. The lads first came into prominence after finishing second to Alexandra Burke on 2008’s X Factor competition. At the time, producer Simon Cowell refused to sign the boyband – what a mistake that was. After they signed with Epic Records instead, JLS went on to win two BRIT awards, fill 1.5MILLION seats on tour, sell more than 10MILLION records and have FIVE No1 singles – more than any other reality show competition, according to The Sun.

While we haven’t been hearing much from the band these days, back i their hayday they drove their fans almost to hysteria – with fans frequently injured in the crowd’s excitement at their shows. But now that the five-year recording contract is up, JLS are setting their sights on other goals:

“I’ve got a baby on the way in four weeks, so it’s another celebration for me. But that was also another sign that we were moving on to the next stage in our lives,” said JLS’s Marvin, 28, who is married to Saturdays singer Rochelle. “The last five or so years have been nothing short of incredible. It has been an incredible journey,” he also explained.

JLS Pull Prank On Olly Murs For Channel 4

Olly Murs JLS Aston Merrygold Marvin Humes

For a few seconds, Olly Murs thought he had seriously injured JLS star Aston Merrygold. The prank was filmed for Channel 4’s Stand Up To Cancer show, which is coming next Friday, October 19 to UK Screens.

According to The Mirror, Murs was interviewing his pop counterparts, JLS, when Aston volunteered to be shot out of a cannon, and Ollie was nominated to press the button to launch him clear. When the big moment came, with the tension at a suitably palpable level…. nothing happened. But, being a stereotypical guy, Ollie smacked the button a second time, even harder, and was seen to be shocked as Aston shot out of the cannon, missed the safety net and smacked into a wooden stage. It turned out that the body fired out of the cannon didn’t belong to Aston at all but an experienced stuntman. All was well, of course, as was the man Ollie shot from the canon, but for some time, Mr Murs thought he’d dealt some real damage to his fellow pop star. "Still recovering, still shaking & still shocked!! ‪@JLSOfficial‬ you got me proper today!!" he tweeted after the hoax. JLS star Marvin Humes added: "Just did an amazing prank with @ollyofficial and lots of JLSters!! Absolutely hilarious! Can't wait for u all to see!!"

Stand Up To Cancer represents a collaboration between Channel 4 and Cancer Research. It will see some of he biggest UK stars do all sorts of things, pranks included, to raise money and awareness of Cancer treatment.
