Veteran actor Martin Landau will be the toast of the upcoming Israel Film Festival when he picks up a top prize at the opening night gala.
The Oscar-winning star will accept the Career Achievement Award during a ceremony at the Writers Guild Theater in Beverly Hills, California, as the event kicks off on 18 April (13).
Landau is in good company as the latest recipient of the accolade - former honourees include Richard Dreyfuss and Bob Balaban.
Festival founder Meir Fenigstein says, "He is one of the longest working, most highly regarded actors in the industry. For over 60 years, Landau has exemplified the best of Hollywood to audiences around the world."
The event, which runs until 2 May (13), will showcase more than 30 new Israeli films and documentaries.
